Healthy and Safe Event RentalsClick Here

The Health & Safety Specialist will be responsible for a wide variety of initiatives in the areas of Health & Safety. They will be responsible for ensuring consistent administration and compliance with all health and safety regulations and programs. This position is also responsible for development and delivery of the company-wide Health and Safety program.

Essential Job Functions

  • Health and Safety policy creation, revision, and implementation
  • Provide guidance to all employees on the interpretation of H & S policies
  • Reviews and follows up with supervisors to ensure timeliness, appropriateness of accident investigations and follow through on corrective action and root cause analysis.
  • Monthly reporting and analysis of accidents and injuries and compilation of monthly safety reports 
  • Champions all OHS Management System Audits
  • Co-Chairs the Joint Health & Safety Committee 
  • Coordinates OHS training with external vendors as well as developing and delivering in-house OHS Training
  • Liaise with WSIB or other external service providers, employees and management team regarding WSIB claims and Early and Safe Return to Work.
  • Conducts Health & Safety Orientation for all employees
  • Oversees site specific Emergency Response Plan
  • Looks for opportunities to reduce ergonomic issues
  • Reduction / elimination of workplace accidents & injuries

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma 
  • 1-3 years related experience 
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong team player with problem solving capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential
  • Ability to ensure integrity of data and confidentiality of employee information
  • Computer proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of software – MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point & Outlook
  • CRSP accreditation or working towards

Account Coordinator

As an integral member of the sales team and working in close collaboration and under the direction of
an Account Executive(s), the Account Coordinator supports our partner planners, caterers, and venues
in the planning and execution of events. The Account Coordinator supports new business development
activities in collaboration with direction from the Account Executives to grow revenue through targeted
strategies to secure new partners and grow relationships with existing partners (caterers, venues,
planners, retail etc.) The Account Coordinator serves as the central point of contact for all inbound sales
enquiries via email, websites, phone, and manages all general public enquiries. Strong inter-personal
communication skills, hyper-attention to detail, technology / digital savvy, and a passion for the events
industry are critical for success in this role.

Position Responsibilities

  • With direction from the Account Executive team, support existing partners through the
    preparation of rental proposals, quotes and contracts. Update and revise existing orders as
    necessary and follow up with clients at regular intervals as part of our sales process to
    confirm / secure orders;
  • With direction from the Account Executive team, undertake proactive outreach to existing
    and future partners to identify event rental needs, grow relationships to drive new sales.
    Support new business development and growth activities through the development of
    proposals and presentations to establish relationships with new partners;
  • Serve as main point of contact for inbound event rental general public or retail enquiries via
    phone and digital channels (email, website, eCommerce etc.);
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and support new product innovation through participation in
    industry forums / conferences and through on-going engagement on key digital / social
    platforms (Instagram, Pintrest, Facebook etc.);
  • Collaborate with peers across the sales and operations team to identify and implement
    continuous process improvement opportunities to increase organizational efficiency and
    effectiveness, and to strengthen service delivery to our partners

Skills and Capabilities

  • Superior inter-personal communications skills. Ability to develop meaningful and trusted
    relationships with partners (existing and prospective);
  • Digitally and technology savvy;
    • Familiarity with and proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite of products;
    • Interest in key social channels to engaged with customers and to identify new and emerging product / competitive trends (Instagram, Pintrest, Facebook, LinkedIn etc);
  • Team player capable of driving individual results while supporting the overall success of the team;
  • Pro-active and results oriented.

Education & Experience

  • Degree or Diploma from post-secondary institution with preference for graduates from creative arts and / or event planning programs;
  • Experience in sales, hospitality, or customer service industry an asset.

Job Type: Full time, permanent
Pay: $17 hourly

We are seeking full time delivery partners to assist our drivers on deliveries. Warehouse
and delivery experience is a plus but not required (we can train you) but safety shoes are
required.

At Chair-Man Mills, our goal is to service our clients with the highest of service. We rent
everything you could need for the event, except for the food, drink and guest. We deliver
and pick up party rentals in the Toronto Area and occasionally out of town. We are a flexible
and positive employer with many shifts and work schedules to suit.

As the delivery partner you will assist in completing party rental deliveries and pick ups to
certain venue and residences in the greater Toronto area. Most deliveries (70%) are ground
level, using a pump truck or dolly to unload. As the driver partner you will stabilize the skids
on the tailgate while they are lowered. Most deliveries consist of glasses, and dishes; the
boxes are light for the most part; tables and chairs are pre-loaded onto dollies or skids and
need to be unloaded at the site and put into place. A small part of the deliveries (30%) are
to docks.

There is an opportunity for overtime, especially during the peak months; one day of
weekend availability is required (either Saturday or Sunday).
